Tissue Culture Sales

General Info

The Colorado State University Tissue Culture Lab is located at the San Luis Valley Research Center in Center, Colorado.
We’re proud to house approximately 600 potato varieties at this location. Clones are kept in test tubes and nodal cuttings are taken from the mother plant to produce a plantlet that is genetically identical to the mother plant.

All plants are certified, disease-free material and are distributed throughout the U.S. and internationally.

This season’s cultivars available as tissue culture material are included in the catalog, available here for download.

Please note: Some of the clones are privately owned and permission must be obtained from the owner before distribution. To confirm if a clone is privately owned and permission is required before distribution, visit: https://www.ams.usda.gov/services/plant-variety-protection/application-status
